Vernon Robertson
Vernon is now retired from giving the Seminar of Hope in person. However, he is happy to speak with you about how to run this seminar in your parish or a small group. Vernon is also open to participate in an online video "Q&A" session with seminar participants.
Vernon's Bio
Vernon developed the "How to Pray for your Sons & Daughters & Loved Ones” seminar over 25 years ago based on his experience praying for his teenager children through some challenging years.
​​​Vernon is a convert to the Catholic faith. He was born in Scotland and immigrated to Toronto, Ontario in 1966. He and his wife Maureen have been married 55 years and have three children, eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. They reside in Maple Ridge, BC where they are members of St. Luke's Parish.
Vernon is a former board member of Renewal Ministries of Canada. He served on the Vancouver Archdiocesan Pastoral Council, and founded Catholic Evangelization Training Ministries in Vancouver, BC which ushered in the Alpha course to the Diocese of Vancouver.
In 2010, Vernon was awarded the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice (“For Church and Pope”) Cross by Pope Benedict the XVI. It is the highest medal that can be awarded to the laity by the Pope. It was presented to him for his work and leadership in the new evangelization by Archbishop J. Michael Miller, CSB., Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver.
